Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

The debut album of Aaliyah Age Ain't Nothing but a Number came out in 1994. In the age group of 15 the album was awarded Gold recognition. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring the singer to the forefront. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland on her sophomore studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling track If Your Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah was recognized internationally for her work as an R&B performer with the launch of her second album One in a Million. In 2000 she starred in the romantic action movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial arts legend Jet-Li. The role was offered to her following an interview with director Joel Silver at an awards ceremony. The year 2002 was the time she appeared as part of the Anne Rice-based movie about horror Queen of the Damned. The Matrix Sequels followed, featuring Zee as the lead character. In 2001, 1999 2002 and 2003, she was nominated for four Grammy Awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is an Indian-American from the first generation who was born in Connecticut. The stage name Mann is a short form of her marriage name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for professional names. Her acting career began in the mid 2000's, with a few parts in movies and TV. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials, including Volvo's global car maker. She lives with her family in Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting career.
