April Ross
April Ross was one of the few female beach volleyball players who have won medals at more than one Olympics. Alix Klineman has become a brand new Olympian and is set to join her in Tokyo. Ross hopes to win an Olympic first gold medal, however, she also hopes to earn more. Since she's 39 years old and has a long way to go, this could be her final chance. The athlete is optimistic she'll be successful in achieving top honours. If we perform at our very highest or do well, I believe we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. In addition, I'll try the opportunity to try my chances. Ross born in 1982 and was raised within Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began playing sports at Newport Harbor High School. The athletic pursuits she pursued began at Newport Harbor High School where she was a part of a number of sports. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball as well as basketball, track and running. She was definitely the best at the sport of indoor volleyball. During her high school career she was a middle blocker outside hitter and setter in the court for volleyball as per her college bio. Gatorade Circle Of Champions named her as the National Player in 1999. In addition, she was awarded the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Although Ross and Klineman are a couple since 2017, the former was already a big-time participant on the beaches even before the pair formed. She has won numerous tournaments, including one with a legendary volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until 2013. Ross, Kessy's fellow teammate who was the winner of the world championship with Kessy in 2009, was also a major force on an international level. The 2012 Olympic Games, they won the gold medal. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team which took home the Olympic gold medal in 2012 in London, edged their opponents to claim the gold medal. Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor after she had retired. They went on to compete for the bronze beach volleyball medal at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross was a college athlete for USC Trojans before starting her professional career. She played during high school, and even some years before she hit the beach as a professional. And her run at the school was one to remember. She was a All-American as well as Pac-10 Freshman of the Year when she was a teen freshman. Also, she was a key player to help the Trojans to make it to their way to the Final Four. In her sophomore year, she suffered a tremendous personal setback, but she was able to repeat as an All-American. Over her final 2 years in the Trojans program, she guided the team to win a national championship every time. The individual accomplishments of her have established her place as a legendary volleyball player. She won the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross, who was a USC international relations major, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter reach the top of beach volleyball. As of 2001, when Ross was a sophomore in USC her mother passed away due to breast cancer. She still holds her mother close to her heart. And Margie remains a source of encouragement for her on the beach and in life.
