Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia is a Canadian actress best known for her work on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters and the Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda, and Voltea pa' qui you are awestruck. Emeraude is also a skilled model and dancer. She is a native of Montreal However, she was raised and studied in Texas. Her love of dance has been a part of her since childhood. When she was a young girl she began to learn diverse forms of dance. As a 15-year-old was when she began competing in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia became famous when she made her debut in 2008 as competing in Nuestra Belleza Latina season two of Univision's beauty contest. Toubia began her acting career in 2010 when she played an office receptionist on a Telemundo episode. Toubia was a part of Tattooed Love (2015), an action film. The performance of Toubia as Shadowhunter was recognized by her fellow actors at the Teen Choice Awards in both the years 2017 and 2018, for her performance as Best TV Actress Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
